Drive Halo's Warthog through Australia in Forza Horizon 3

One of the most popular fictional vehicles in the video game world is the Warthog from the Halo series. Fun and forgiving handling plus powerful weapons mean it's a fan favorite. Of course as a result, players have sometimes wondered how the Warthog would fare against real-life vehicles. Forza Horizon 3 will now let players answer that question.

Before you comment, yes, the Warthog has appeared in Forza before. In Forza Motorsport 4, the truck made an appearance in the Autovista mode complete with a narrated overview from Jeremy Clarkson. However, you still couldn't drive the thing. Now, Forza Horizon 3 will let you cruise around the game's version of Australia with a fully-functional Warthog. However, don't expect to be using EMPs and mounted machine guns like in Halo. This is apparently the civilian version and doesn't feature any of the various turrets from that game. Don't worry though, the lack of a turret is the only change, and it apparently has a 720 horsepower twin-turbo V8. So it should be a solid match for other off-roaders in the game like the new F-150 Raptor, Ram Runner and some of the Baja-ready buggies.

The game launches on September 27, and if you have played either of the Halo games released for Xbox One, you will receive a code to download the Warthog. If not, there will be a special in-game event in October that will allow players the opportunity to get one.
