If you want to get up close to some immaculately restored, classic sports cars while sipping a glass of champagne, the Quail Motorsports Gathering is the place to be during Monterey Car Week. Situated in a surprisingly compact area, the event displays a vast array of exclusive machines that you can walk right up to. This year had several themes to collect similar vehicles together, including the famous long-tail racers at Le Mans, pre-1965 Porsches, vintage racing motorcycles, and a huge collection of supercars.

Beyond just an opportunity to show perfect examples of classic machines, the Quail offers perhaps the only opportunity for many to look at some modern supercars on display. For example, usually seeing a single Pagani Huayra is astounding, but six of them were fanned out on the grass. Lamborghini debuted the Aventador SV Roadster there, and the exclusive David Brown Automotive Speedback GT also had a North American launch. In a vision of the future, Acura brought along a multi-colored trio of the upcoming NSX, and BMW had the 3.0 CSL Hommage R concept to check out.

Of course, a massive variety of recent supercars, vintage roadsters, classic motorcycles, and more were also out in force at the event. Whether you want a chance to see three Ferrari F50s sitting together or Porsches reimagined by Singer, you need to click through this gallery to see them all.
