Qoros is coming to the Shanghai Motor Show with something fresh. Dubbed the Qoros 2 SUV concept, it envisions a Juke or Renegade/500X rival for the Sino-Israeli automaker.

The teaser image above gives us an idea of what Qoros has in store, with "German-inspired styling, contemporary rugged detailing and coupe-like upper body lines for a strong, muscular appeal." The design process was undertaken by teams in Munich and Shanghai, lead by the company's design chief Gert Hildebrand. Though details remain few and far between, the concept promises a plug-in hybrid powertrain with all-wheel drive and "hands-free charging."

If put into production, the Qoros 2 would be a marked departure for the joint venture between Chery and the shipping giant Israel Corporation. While its concepts have taken the brand in different directions, each of the production models Qoros has rolled out to date have been centered around the same basic design, rendered as the Qoros 3 Sedan, Qoros 3 Hatch and Qoros 3 City SUV.
