Petrolicious delivers an automotive deep cut with the 1954 Jensen 541

Jensens are not particularly common cars. Sure, you'll see or hear about the occasional Interceptor, FF or Jensen-Healey, but as far as old British marques go, you're far more likely to stumble upon an MG, Triumph or even an Austin-Healey. For Petrolicious, though, sometimes the best stories come from forgotten beauties.

That's why its latest video features the rare Jensen 541, a car that was built from 1954 to 1963 and features a gorgeous blend of classic GT finishings. One could argue that Jaguar borrowed the rear-end styling for the E-Type Coupe, while the front fenders and wheel wells are similar to the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. The front fascia, meanwhile, reminds us of the AC Ace, on which the Shelby Cobra was based. It's an absolutely stunning piece of design.

Gianfranco Giovine picked up this particular car in Ireland back in 2011, describing his purchase as similar to the pursuit of a beautiful woman in that it "made me suffer a bit before I could have it."

Take a look at Giovine's Jensen in Petrolicious' latest video.
