Riding along with Horacio in his Pagani Zonda S 7.3

You'd imagine that as the founder of Pagani, Horacio Pagani would be in the most ridiculous car his company produces. A new Huayra, or perhaps a Zonda F Roadster, right? Nope. Instead, Mr. Pagani's personal car is a Zonda S 7.3, one of the brand's older models, which debuted way back in 2002 with a mere 547 horsepower (for comparison, the Zonda F produces 594 hp, while the Huayra hits the road with 720 ponies).

Mr. Pagani's car is only the sixth Zonda ever produced, according to XCAR, which managed to snag some seat time in the car alongside the man himself. Based on the engine noise of that magnificent 7.3-liter Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 alone, this video is worth a watch. It's also interesting to hear Pagani talk about the car - how it doesn't have carbon ceramic brakes, but can still stop with brutality (there's a much lengthier interview about Pagani here, if you so choose). He also talks about the handling, particularly at high speeds, before hopping in the passenger seat and giving a giddy Alex Goy a chance to sample the V12-powered rocket.
