Truck Hauling 45 Tons Of Sand Loses Brakes And Crushes Car

Truck crashed through a retaining wall, over a car, and into a house

A truck carrying fort-five tons of sand crashed after its brakes failed. The truck was traveling up a hill in Bountiful, Utah on it's way to deliver it's payload to a golf course. Then the brakes failed and its gearbox seized up, sending the truck and it's 80,000 pounds of sand careening downhill. The truck went through a retaining wall, crushed a Mazda, and slammed into the front of a house.

Amazingly, no one was injured in the accident ABC 4 reported. The tiny red Mazda, though, was completely crushed. But not as crushed as it's new owner, who was suppose to pick it up his new car the next day.
