If you're going to provide sportscars to the clientele that can afford them, you'd better be ready to offer them a wristwatch to go with it. Just about every exotic automaker does, and now even the aftermarket firms are lining up to do the same.
In the case of Mansory – purveyors of so many gaudy mod jobs – the customizers teamed up with Graham London, the same watchmaker that makes custom wristwatches for the Mercedes GP team. Which is a good thing, because if Mansory designed it themselves, something tells us it would come out in pepto pink and purple or feature more gold bling than all of St. Petersburg – Russia and Florida.
Instead, Graham created a special-edition Chronofighter with an oversize 47mm steel case, a carbon fiber dial, bezel decorated in the "Clous de Paris" motif and a smoked sapphire crystal case-back. Inside is a Calibre G1734 automatic chronograph movement, operated by trigger on the left side (for easier operation while driving) and affixed to the wrist with a rubber strap.
The effect is hardly subtle, but next to some of Mansory's other offerings, it looks downright subdued. The price, though, is decidedly in keeping with Mansory's invoice sheet: If you can get your hands on one of the 50 that will be made, it'll set you back €8,900 in Germany – about $12,700 in equivalent American currency. Boys' toys – fast race cars and exclusive watches are typical status symbols of the mostly male MANSORY clientele. And the name says it all – with 47 mm steel case diameter and the left hand fast-action start /stop trigger which is so iconic for GRAHAM watches, the Chronofighter Oversize MANSORY chronograph impressively accentuates its features. This instinctive mechanism activated by the thumb, guarantees a great precision with the most direct response of the chronograph functions.

Following the automobile core competences of the MANSORY Group, the dial is made of carbon, a material typically used for sports cars. The "Clous de Paris" decorated steel bezel echoes the artistic performances of MANSORY concept cars. On the case back, a smoked see-through sapphire crystal with MANSORY logo, allows an insight into the clockwork Calibre G1734 with 48 hours power reserve. The black rubber strap is "Clous de Paris" decorated and adorned with the GRAHAM and MANSORY logos.
Limited to 50 watches, the self-winding automatic chronograph developed by GRAHAM, is exclusively available from MANSORY or one of its world-wide sales partners.

GRAHAM-LONDON:
GRAHAM-LONDON traces its origins to London clockmaker George Graham (1673-1751) who is responsible for many innovations in timekeeping. He invented the chronograph, the dead-beat cylinder escapement, the mercury pendulum to compensate for temperature differences. He also built the master clock for Greenwich Royal Observatory which defined time for most of the 18th century. GRAHAM-LONDON was resurrected in 1995 and is today a privately owned Anglo-Swiss watch company which designs and builds its own watches in its La Chaux-de-Fonds production facilities in Switzerland.
