Food trucks are everywhere right now. We're not talking about the metal boxes that slog from business to business hawking puddles of grease, but rather the burgeoning genre of mobile kitchens stocked with culinary treats. From Kogi to Baconmania and the OC Food Truck, many are packing up kitchens, and bringing food to waiting, hungry masses. One major food icon has taken notice of this trend and decided to jump into the food truck game.

Oscar Mayer has just added a 30-foot Wienermobile food truck to its fleet of vehicles. This newest Wienermobile was revealed in New York City, where celebrity chef Tyler Florence was on hand to dish out Oscar Mayer hot dogs.

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Food Truck has a lot to live up to. This Ford E-Series wiener-delivery system joins a fleet filled with six iconic 27-foot-long Wienermobiles, and one mini 15-footer. The food truck is longer, and has hot dogs on hand to feed hungry folks, so it might not have to work too hard to become a welcome part of the family. A full press release is waiting for you after the jump, but sadly there are no hot dogs over there.

Tyler Florence Joins the Good Mood Mission, Unveils the Wienermobile Food Truck and Serves Oscar Mayer Selects Beef Franks to Hundreds of New Yorkers

(Madison, Wis., – May 25, 2011) /PRNewswire/ - Today, the Oscar Mayer brand celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Wienermobile vehicle in New York City by unveiling the first-ever, special edition Wienermobile Food Truck. The Oscar Mayer brand partnered with Tyler Florence, Food Network Chef and host of "The Great Food Truck Race," to christen the new vehicle and continue the Good Mood Mission by making a donation to Feeding America, the nation's leading hunger-relief organization. Hundreds gathered in Times Square for a chance to see the Wienermobile Food Truck, get a free Oscar Mayer Selects Beef Frank and enjoy special toppings created by Tyler.

While the Wienermobile vehicle has been surprising and delighting people for 75 years, this will be the first time part of the fleet is serving hot dogs. The new Wienermobile Food Truck will be giving consumers a chance to taste Oscar Mayer Selects Beef Franks throughout the summer.

"I'm excited to be working with the Oscar Mayer brand as part of the Good Mood Mission because we could all use a little more good in our day. Food trucks definitely put me in a good mood so I'm delighted to help spread some joy with the Oscar Mayer brand by christening the first-ever Wienermobile Food Truck and also making a $50,000 donation to Feeding America," said Florence. "The Wienermobile might be considered the 'original' food truck, but the clever combination of the world-famous Wienermobile with the modern Food Truck, seems like the perfect evolution for a hot dog on wheels and a great way to continue to spread good moods!"

Wienermobile Food Truck Hits the Road
For 75 years, the Wienermobile has been on a mission to spread miles of smiles. The 30-foot Wienermobile Food Truck joins the current iconic fleet of six 27-foot Wienermobile vehicles and one 15-foot Mini Wienermobile.

This summer, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Food Truck will travel to 12 cities including Columbus, Detroit and Pittsburgh, to sample Oscar Mayer Selects, a delicious choice the whole family will love. These hot dogs not only taste great, but they also have no artificial preservatives (contains natural preservatives).
