Video: Gran Turismo 5 goes live-action in Paris

If you're like us, you've been hiding from friends and family this holiday season by burying yourself in the loving, automotive arms of Gran Turismo 5. You also likely know that the game was well worth the seemingly endless wait. But while rubbing Jaguar E-Type fenders with the Italian metal of a Lamborghini Miura is as much fun as you're likely to have in front of a TV, there's just nothing quite like the real thing. With that in mind, Sony and Polyphony Digital pulled off an interesting stunt to advertise their newest creation – unleashing a hoard of exotic racers on the unsuspecting Champs Élysées in Paris, complete with genuine pit stops.

Metal like the Lamborghini Murciélago Superveloce, Audi R8 and even Nissan GT-R all spent a bit of time playing in the rain in a mock-race. There's no word on who took the checkers, but the stunt was clearly a winner with the crowds. Hit the jump to see the video for yourself.
