VIDEO: RSD's DeLorean soap box racer consumes 1.21 gigawatts of Red Bull

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads. Only parking lots... plus a few small jumps and a high-banked turn. Oh, and we'll also need a bit of gravity, which is all that's powering Roland Sands Design's soap box derby racer. Built in the shape of a certain famous DeLorean time machine, Sands' version eschews Mr. Fusion in favor of a giant can of Red Bull, which just so happens to be the title sponsor of the event the car was competing in.

From the looks of things, this DeLorean-shaped racer performed just about flawlessly with ex-motorcycle racer Sands at the helm. See for yourself in the video after the break.
