Power of DC brings electric cars to Hagerstown, MD this weekend

/
If you're in the Washington, D.C. area this weekend and need your electrical vehicle fix, may we recommend the Power of DC. The two-day event takes place in Hagerstown and Frederick, Maryland and will feature a lot of electric rides on display - along with an autocross race on Saturday and drag racing on Sunday. Vroom, vroom (or whatever the non-ICE equivalent is). A ScooterCross was also a possibility at one point, but I don't see it on the schedule. The Power of DC is put on by the Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC.

This weekend marks the 8th running of the EVs at Power of DC; three years ago the Discovery Channel's cameras were there to film for the Daily Planet. For this year, there is a long list of people - and their rides, natch - competing over the weekend available here. If you're able to attend, AutoblogGreen reader David N. says he'll be there with his prototype electric racing kart. Stop by and say hello.
