If you're in the Washington, D.C. area this weekend and need your electrical vehicle
fix, may we recommend the Power of DC
. The two-day event takes place in Hagerstown and Frederick, Maryland and will feature a lot of electric rides on display - along with an autocross race on Saturday and drag racing on Sunday. Vroom, vroom (or whatever the non-ICE equivalent is). A ScooterCross was also a possibility at one point, but I don't see it on the schedule
. The Power of DC is put on by the Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC.
This weekend marks the 8th running of the EVs
at Power of DC; three years ago
the Discovery Channel's cameras were there to film for the Daily Planet. For this year, there is a long list of people - and their rides, natch - competing over the weekend available here
. If you're able to attend, AutoblogGreen
reader David N. says he'll be there with his prototype electric racing kart
. Stop by and say hello.
