For the second year in a row Active.com and the Gen-A Network have named the Land Rover LR3 the Active Lifestyles Vehicles winner in their Luxury Vehicle category. The award was announced yesterday at the San Diego Auto Show where presenters explained that no other vehicle had managed to match the superior credentials of the LR3 or offer as wide array of optional athletic accessories.
The judging was done by a panel of journalists and athletic enthusiasts including marathon runners, mountain bikers, surfers and triathletes. The evaluations included driving performance tests on a 30-minute course that featured a mix of freeway driving, hills, speed bumps and curves. In order to be considered vehicles needed to possess ample cargo space, roof racks, bike transport systems, towing capabilities and other active lifestyle features.
