Now Chevy pushes Earnhardt trucks

Sigh. As a huge Earnhardt fan myself, the use of his name to "honor" him on Monte Carlos was almost understandable even after his death. We learn today that Chevy will "honor" him again in a 2006 Silverado SS Intimidator edition that was unveiled at Dale Earnhardt Incorporated. 1,333 Intimidator SS trucks will be sold with the Legacy logo on everything that doesn't move. Other distinct changes include a flat tailgate spoiler and silver grille insert. This truck does preview the new Silverado face-lift that includes the HD-style domed hood and the disposal of the huge chrome bar (though the SS's didn't have the bar, if you look closely at the picture, the grille is different). Sorry about this Dale, we know you would have added more than 345 horsepower in the RWD truck if you were to sell it at DE Chevrolet in Newton. More pictures at the link.
