The new Lincoln abandoning rear wheel drive?

It looks like there still may be hope for the Town Car after all. About three months ago I read a report that the LS and Town Car were both being replaced by a version of the D3 platform that underpins the Five Hundred. Now this new story makes it a point to say they are unsure if the two D3 sedans will replace the LS/TC. I have a bad feeling your 2008 Town Car will be a FWD based vehicle with a AWD system, like the Acura RL. Good luck maintaining that system on livery vehicles. Of course, the Lincoln Navigator will be RWD, and they are showcasing the Blackwood replacement, the Mark LT pickup.
