The iconic Volkswagen GTI was arguably the first "hot hatch" when VW made a small hatchback fun to drive, now currently in it's fourth generation, the GTI carries on the tradition. The GTI is available as a two-door hatchback only; it's powered by either a 180-hp turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, or a 200-hp 2.8-liter VR6. The 1.8T is standard with a five-speed manual transmission while a five-speed automatic with Tiptronic is optional. The only transmission choice for the VR6 is a six-speed manual.
