Legendary Hollywood actor and motorcycle and race car enthusiast Steve McQueen's Pioneer Moon Ranch is for sale. Located on more than 500 acres just outside Idaho's Sun Valley Resort, the sprawling $7.4-million-dollar property comes with a large two-story log home and – here's the exciting part – an even larger log annex with an adjoining 1,728-square-foot garage. Let's repeat that part again in case you didn't catch it: a 1,728-square-foot garage - that's bigger than many people's houses – we're salivating just thinking about the number of cars we could fit in that behemoth.

While McQueen himself wouldn't have used the gargantuan garage – he died in 1980 and it was constructed much later in 2010 – he certainly would have had quite a collection to store there. At the time of his death, McQueen had collected more than 100 motorcycles. He also owned many exotic sports cars, including a 1970 Porsche 911S, 1956 Jaguar XKSS, and 1963 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso.

Much more than simply a car enthusiast, McQueen considered being a professional race car driver and also competed in off-road motorcycle racing. In fact, he performed many of his own driving stunts in his movies, with two of the most notable being the car chases in Bullitt and racing sequences in Le Mans. Check out the photos of McQueen's larger-than-life pad and let us know what you would put in that drool-worthy garage.

The whole place is new, that's not the house he lived in. Some real estate promoter built that on McQueens old property and is now trying to hose somebody. My sister lives 2 miles down the road, been by there many times on Triumph Road, north of Hailey.

The seller does have to state the age of the house. If it is new then that would be deciding factor on the price. Still I'm sure the house would be worth millions even without being Attached to McQueen's fame.

McQueen died in 1980, and never lived in nor used these buildings. "The compound features a classic 1,625± sq. ft., two-story log home with covered porches that was built in 1990 and remodeled in 1999 and 2010, and a 1,542± sq. ft. log annex constructed in 2010 with an adjoining 1,728± sq. ft. garage."

I'd like to go on record in saying that Steve McQueen's death is the number one reason I've never smoked. So much awesome killed too soon.

What a beautiful place, - Steve McQueen is a legend. Can't wait to see Adam Carolla's documentary on McQueens racing career.

How the heck does "That's amazing" about a house jump to a rant about Obama? Jeez, calm down.

That's a gorgeous place, but the guy across the street from me has a 2,600 sq. ft. garage and his main house is 3,800 sq. ft. Granted, it's only on 1 acre, but I'd say his whole setup is only worth $750k-- and that's in California. Considering get Idaho land is going for around $1k-$2k per acre, the "Steve McQueen factor" is weighing heavily on this property's price tag. Still beautiful though!

Ou have obviously never been to Sun Valley or know its real estate. During the forest fires recently, many of the homes there are so valuable that the home insurance companies sent private fire battalions to guard the homes they insured ($10-15 million is common).

Steve Mqueen isn't nearly the most famous person with an estate there either, so it probably wouldn't be much of a factor.
