Chris Harris is back on the job, taking on really really difficult car questions like: Which enormously sexy and good-to-drive, high-performance convertible is the top of the heap? As one of the hottest cars in the luxury space right now, the Jaguar F-Type S is, of course, in on the action. Competition comes in the form of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster and the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Sun-loving CEOs who despise test-driving need look no further.

Scroll on below for a fully featured (with a running time of more than 20 minutes) comparison video. Harris does his best to entertain – in a typically nitpicky and made-up-British-words fashion – and the moving pictures are lovely to look at. Kick back, pour a pint and get your weekend started off right.

No doubt the Jag is the "it" car of the year, but if it were my money (i wish!), 911 all the way.

Great video! I have only seen this guy one or two other times but darn am I impressed! He can drive, he can speak eloquently, but more importantly he can "put the viewer behind the wheel". Job well done sir. As for the cars- there isn't a loser there. I would take any one of them, but probably lean toward the Aston.

I guess being that all three are extremely competent, it's just a matter of taste. I'd take the Jag with a MT as my personal preference.

So basically the Porsche was the better drivers car but the Jag won BC of his personal opinion. This touches on my biggest complaint about automotive journalism, it is entirely to subjective.

But you can get numbers from the manufacturers if you want to form your own data driven opinion. As the phrase goes 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. It's why Top Gear is an entertainment show (you can't really even trust their power lap times because The Stig isn't always the same Stig). You're watching him drive the cars and formulate an opinion because he's been able to drive the three cars. Why not go out and test drive them yourself? The best you can do is find an automotive journalist that has similar interests to you so you can sit there, watch them drive and nod in agreement to everything that they say.

A lot of the attraction of car is how it looks, inside and out, and how it feels to drive. Both are highly subjective. There is just no way around that. He clearly stated that the Porsche drove better, but that overall he liked the Jag better. Look at it this way, a Golf VII will drive far better than a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso. But there is a reason that the Lusso is a far more coveted car.

Harris was just selling out to the British viewer , or future 'Porsche Lover' criticism and you know it. Lol Ask him which one would he buy or want (in private) and wait for his answer. Lol. And by the way, I thought the Porsche had the best looking interior out of the three.

I think the Porsche won: However, as I said earlier: Harris has to do something, so he can't be constantly accused of being a Porsche Wag, cause they keep winning all his contest (especially in England with a British Car involved). I'm sure if he had to purchase one of these cars, I can almost assure you he would buy the Porsche. The Jaguar is unproven. The Aston Martin, is old technology. And the Porsche has a fabulous interior, will be more reliable, and is the better everyday as well as drivers car. And it gets better mileage too boot. What else is there for most purchasers? Talk like "how it looks" and "it's an Aston Martin", are mostly bandied about by Internet kids who don't know better. . When you have to purchase the car yourself, it's a whole 'nother' ball game (unless you, "just don't know better"). And the Porsche provides the perfect balance of prestige, history, convenience, detailing, notoriety, engineering, reliability and performance, over the others.

Except you've missed the whole point of this review. It wasn't a review of which car is the best driver's car. It was which car was the best GT car... and there is more to that than performance and numbers.

You know Harris has to say/do something, so haters don't constantly call him a Porsche Wag, when they win all his contest. So why not throw a bone to the British. You know the car won't sell well outside of that country anyway. Lol
