Hammer & Coop: Episodes 1 & 2

You might remember us mentioning Mini's new Hammer & Coop campaign for the freshened-for-2007 Coopers. The Starsky and Hutch-like series of trailers showing a man without a past and his faithful automotive sidekick. Kind of like Ben Stiller's "Heat Vision and Jack" or Spike TV's "Stroker and Hoop" from their Adult Swim late night programming. The ads are internet-only but have seen some limited theatrical play as well. Follow the jump to see the first two episodes in all their retro renegade glory. Episode 1 is called "Clean Getaway" and introduces us to Hammer and the KITT-like British voice of Coop. We also learn of their fondness for bikini car washes ("You know, I am feeling a little...dirty.") and learn that Ogre from the Revenge of the Nerds movies is one of the thugs for the duo's nemesis. Look for the nice e-brake 180 in the alley.

Episode 2 is dubbed "Dawn of Silverfox" and focuses on Hammer being discovered at the carwash babe's pad and his ensuing flight from danger. The pushbutton start and tiny dimensions of the car help Hammer escape with ease. We also meet the bad guy and see the Coop-Zero-7 introduction at military HQ.
