Auction Action: Top 10 sales of 2006

It was a good year for the auction houses this year.$33,954,500 was spent on ten of of the world's finest examples of historic motoring.

Barrett-Jackson cleaned up in January when it sold a 1953 GM Futurliner in Phoenix for $4,320,000. That same month, Gooding & Company auctioned off a 1938 Talbot Lago T150C SS coupe for a record-setting $3,905,000. And those weren't the most expensive auto auctions of 2006.
