Car and Driver chronicles the death of a car

Bloggers we may be, but we're still fans of good old fashioned long-form journalism – or what passes for it in this day and age. Yes, digital attention deficit disorder and the failing fortunes of print publishing have combined to largely neuter the art form, but there are still some publications willing to think high concept and go out and spend some shoe-leather on stories.

BMW officially announces pricing for 3-Series Coupe

This has been sitting in the queue for a day because we thought we had covered it a couple weeks ago. We were operating under the assumption the pricing of the BMW 3-Series Coupe that "leaked" out was accurate. It wasn't. It was close, but a few clams short of what the actual MSRPs will be. The 335i coupe with the 300-horse twin-turbo six will start at $41,295 (not $40,600), the 328i Coupe will begin a

BMW M3 wagon in the works?

An astute Autoblog reader noticed what may be either a simple typo or a nugget of M-formation regarding the next M3 by BMW. World Car of the Year announces finalists

The second annual World Car of the Year award will go to one of three finalists, announced this week -- the BMW 3-series, the Mazda MX-5 and the Porsche Cayman S. Twenty seven new vehicles from around the world were in the running, and after narrowing those down to just three, KPMG, which oversees the counting of the ballots, will draw the winner at the New York Auto Show next week.

Bevy of BMW Spy Photos

The website GermanCarFans is now hosting five BMW spy shots that feature the 3-Series convertible (plus artist’s rendering), as well as the Z4 M Coupe in full showroom trim. The shots of the convertible reveal a three-piece folding hardtop and a distinct front end styling treatment to set off the open-air version from its claustrophobic counterpart.
