2020 Honda Accord

2020 Accord Photos
Sedans may no longer be as popular as they once were, but they're still a great choice for a diverse array of buyers. And among them, the 2020 Honda Accord is one of your best bets. Its large dimensions grant it unmatched interior space, but the driving experience remains responsive, imparting a feeling of being light on its feet. Its turbocharged engines offer compelling performance, but also return excellent fuel economy. Meanwhile, the 2020 Accord Hybrid might actually be the pick of the litter for its superior fuel economy and lack of major drawbacks that have traditionally hampered hybrids. There's also the matter of its well-made interior, generous feature content and the Accord's long-standing reliability reputation.

There are no major changes to the Accord for 2020.

There are five trim levels available on the 2020 Accord: LX, EX, Sport, EX-L and Touring. There's also the Hybrid version, which is basically available in the same trim levels, minus the Sport. Each is well equipped, but the EX gains so much extra content for a relatively modest charge that we think it should be the smartest buy for most buyers. We'd also strongly consider the Hybrid.

The standard engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four (192 horsepower, 192 pound-feet of torque) paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that helps return an excellent 30 mpg city, 38 mpg highway and 33 mpg combined in most trims. The Sport trim can be equipped with a six-speed manual. The upgrade engine is a 2.0-liter turbo inline-4 (252 hp, 273 lb-ft) paired to a 10-speed automatic, but again, the Sport trim can be had with the manual. Fuel economy is still quite good with this engine at the automatic at 27 mpg combined. The Accord Hybrid has a total system output of 212 hp and returns an excellent 48 mpg combined.
