GM should be congratulated on the engineering put into this vehicle. An Engineer by trade, I can appreciate excellance when I use it. The only complaint I have was that I didn't but mine sooner. I lover the versatility and uses that this vehicle has. The "Flex-Fuel" option is great. When gas was $4/gal....I could buy fuel for $.50/gal cheaper....and it ran just great. That should be and option on all vehicles. Thanks again GM...wonderful vehicle. SB SE side of Indianapolis, IN
Total Quality from a domestic truck
Purchased my 2007 Avalanche in Early Nov. The quality of this Chevy has given me back confidence in U.S. made vehicles. The comfort of the ride is unmatched against ANY truck made. And I know.. I test drove everything out there. Sure you can get more toys..cheaper. But you cant get the ride like this. I did make one modification the day I drove my Avalanche off the showroom floor. I installed a new exhaust system... Flowmasters. With the power of the 5.3 engine...I wanted to hear it growl when I pressed against the accelerator. The interior is also a crowd pleaser. As well as the sound system. If you want the conveience of a truck, and the comfort of a Cadillac...The Chevy Avalanche is the vehicle for you
Review of 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500
Purchased my 2007 Avalanche in July of 07. First vehicle which I have owned that I feel like I am in a looker. I baby this suv mostly because I am really no longer in any hurry. I get 17.6 mpg combined and 20.8 on the highway. Great and easy sleep over can be done in a hurry. Stop at a rest area and you lower the rear divider and asleep you go! It's a 5.3 and just what I need. It's a keeper unless they come out with a clean deisel in the near future. The best choice I could have made since I consider bulk to be a safety issue. Who needs small when you could be in contact (accident) with big!!!
