Is China's futuristic bus concept dead? Shanghaiist reports that the production concept is currently sitting in a storage facility gathering dust. You'll remember that we saw a working model of the Transit Elevated Bus (TEB) earlier this year at the China-Beijing High-Tech Expo, but that's when doubt surrounding the project began.
First the feasibility of being able to produce the TEB was questioned. Then there were reports from Chinese state media outlets that this project was nothing more than a peer to peer (P2P) financing scam. The controlled "test run" of the China TEB production concept was also criticized. Why wasn't it taller? Why didn't it travel farther? Is it a bus or a train? At moment it appears as though the China TEB mass transit concept is all but dead.
