These wheels would make parallel parking a breeze. In May, YouTube user and inventor William Liddiard posted this video that shows his omni-directional wheels in action. Chris McGraw reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute.

[00:00:00] These wheels would make parallel parking a breeze. YouTube user and inventor William Liddiard posted this video of his omni-directional wheels back in May. They allow a car to move forward and backward, as well as side-to-side and diagonally. Liddiard says that unlike other omni-capable wheels, his are bolt-on and do not require the vehicle to be built around them. They were designed to be used in all weather and road conditions, but Liddiard points out these are proof-of-concept prototypes to only show that they work. Omni-directional wheels are not a new concept. Honda posted
