Jay Leno hoons James Garner's '72 Oldsmobile Banshee

There have been some legendary actors/racers over the years, from Steve McQueen and Paul Newman to Patrick Dempsey and Eric Bana. But let's not forget James Garner. The star of the 1966 cult classic Grand Prix fielded and drove cars in off-road and endurance racing, and this was one of his rides.

Based on a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, this muscle car was converted to race off-road and was nicknamed The Banshee. It's a relic from a bygone era of the rallying and a memento of a Hollywood icon, and for this latest segment, Jay Leno has brought in some experts to tell its story – including the car's current owner Jon Swift and former Motor Trend Classic editor Matt Stone.
