Toroidion 1MW electric supercar to debut in Monaco

If we had a nickel for every outfit that started out with ambitions to get into the supercar game ... well, we might actually have enough money to buy one of them. The trouble is that few of them ever make it to fruition, but that doesn't mean we don't like to see them try. And the latest to mount an effort is Toroidion.

Not unlike Koenigsegg – one of the few such startups that's actually made it – Toroidion has the ambition to build a supercar in Scandinavia with serious power: 1,341 horsepower by our standards. Only instead of Sweden (which has a long history of automobile production), Toroidion is based in Finland (which doesn't), and instead of conventional power, this one's earmarked to go all-electric.

Other than that, we don't know very much at this point, as the company's only released these silhouette teasers. The Toroidion 1MW (shorthand for one mega-watt, the vehicle's projected metric output) is scheduled to debut in April at Top Marques Monaco, so watch this space for more.
