Truck Deliberately Crashes Into Joy-Riding Teen

Driver sacrificed own vehicle to prevent teen from driving through park full of children

A Utah teenager's wild joyride ended Saturday when a concerned citizen used his own vehicle as a roadblock.

A man reported his car stolen after his 14-year-old grandson took his Hyundai Veloster out for a spin without permission. When cops spotted the stolen vehicle they attempted to pull the boy over. He fled, and raced through a park full of children. The dangerous drive ended when Bryson Rowley intentionally rammed his truck into the Veloster the boy was driving, wrecking both vehicles. Police in Syracuse, Utah, told Fox 13 the boy seemed to be heading back for the park when the truck stopped him.

The unnamed teen is being held at a juvenile detention facility.
