A horrific car crash Sunday claimed the life of a Georgia bride hours after her wedding. According to WSBTV, Ryan Quinton and Kali Dobson left their wedding reception in a Pontiac Firebird. Quinton lost control of the sports car trying to avoid a dog in the road. The car left the road and rolled down an embankment.
Chris Thomas, another motorist, was driving down Ball Ground Highway when he found Quinton wandering along the shoulder bloodied and disoriented. Thomas stayed with Quinton until help arrived, but it was too late for his new wife.
Dobson was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred. She was thrown from the Firebird, which then landed on top of her. She died before emergency crews could reach the crash site. Quinton is recovering in an area hospital as police investigate the crash.
