Gran Turismo 6 headed to Bathurst 1000

/
"Anything you can do, I can do better." That seems to be what Gran Turismo 6 developer Polyphony Digital is saying with its fifth concept movie, which stars Australia's legendary Mount Panorama Circuit, home of the Bathurst 1000. While arch-nemesis Forza Motorsport 5 is sponsoring a car for the upcoming Bathurst 1000 race and including the track in the upcoming title, the Gran Turismo 6 camp has struck back, showing a gorgeous rendering of assorted vehicles being flung around the 3.8-mile, 23-turn track. We're still waiting to see Turn 10 Studios' portrayal of Mount Panorama.

It's not explained if this is actual game footage or not, but if it is from the game, Polyphony is baking some serious magic into GT6. The cars, the sounds, and of course, the gorgeous track, all come together to create a truly beautiful racing simulation. For us, the only way it could be better is if the game's designers had opted to use actual V8 Supercars rather than the race and production models shown. Perhaps they're keeping them as a surprise for the finished product. Take a look at the entire video down below.
