There are lots of fringe benefits to building or buying an electric vehicle. While eliminating the need to visit gas stations probably ranks at the top of our list, a close second might be the opportunity to run hot laps at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during Refuel. Hosted by Speed Ventures, this event also offers competitive types the chance to win SportElectric Time Trial trophies.
The action isn't limited to the track. The pits are sure to have a great assortment of vehicles to look at and interesting people to talk to. Past years have seen the WrightSpeed X1, the AC Propulsion TZero and lots of Tesla Roadsters make appearances. This year, we can only imagine what prototype or production machine might make come out to play.
