Some might associated Porsche with speed. Others might equate the brand and its products a feeling of ecstasy. Of course, if the boys at Top Gear bought a used one from the '80s, they'd probably claim to find a certain powdery residue left on the dashboard. But the latest offering from the company's product design division, is a, um... well, it's a water pipe.

The Porsche Design Shisha is the latest addition to the brand's World Collection, which already includes such items as chopsticks and tea sets. The slick hookah pipe is made in Germany and stands nearly two feet tall with a hose made of TecFlex – the same material Porsche Design uses on a range of pens.

This decidedly Teutonic take on an age-old Middle Eastern device is available exclusively at the company's new shop at Harrods department store in London. The store was sold last year to the Qatari royal family, which in turn just happens to own 10 percent of Porsche. So if the production of the Cayenne didn't speak loudly enough as to which developing market Porsche was banking on, well... you can put that in your pipe and smoke it. Details in the press release after the jump.

      Whenever I see one of these at someone's house, I comment on it. They then try to explain it's for tobacco.... LoL. 10% of the people that own hookah's use them for tobacco. The other 90% use them for exactly the same thing I did in college.

        you know nothing about tobacco products stop pretending you do *******. shihsa tobacco has been made for longer then cigerretes and cigars have ever existed combined stop pulling stupid statistics out of your ******* ass you asshat
        • 4 Years Ago
        Dude go **** yourself and your bullshit statistics smoking pot in a hookah is a waste althogh it can be done it is a complete waste of material if your not using tobacco. This is not parafanelia this is a tobacco acessory and is commonplace oversease and is just now getting popular in the usa. Cigarretes and cigars and dip is not the only way to use tobacco products and shisha has been made longer then those three combined have even existed

        A hookah is NOT a bong. You can pack weed in it, but it supposed to be packed with shisha (Thats tobacco is Arabic, I think.)
          • 4 Years Ago
          @You guy
          Its packed with flavored tobacco, known as 'moassal'. Shisha does not mean tobacco in Arabic, however yes, traditionally in the Middle East it is only smoked with tobacco. As soon as the popularity of Shisha became global, it was no surprise that it would be used for anything else.

      as a hookah smoker i have some concernes. one of them is the hose gauge looks too skinny also it does not look like the hose is removable or even washable? second of all does it use a proprietary bowl or can you use any bowl that fits? is the bowl male or female? second of all it does not mention if the downstem is plastic or metal and last of all is it common chamber design or classic designed hose port? also what meterial is the vase made out of? it is hard to tell how functional this really is just based off of looks. also im not big on supporting the Qatari familly but i guess the scandal is over and done with now. wonder how many euros this costs probably an arm and a leg
        • 4 Years Ago
        I'm guessing aluminum upper, and acid washed glass lower. It says the thing is two feet tall, so the hose size is questionable. I think it looks pretty slick.
