Honda CR-V being investigated for headlights suddenly shutting off

Driving at night in your Honda CR-V could turn out to be a dark experience. Some owners of 2002-2004 CR-Vs are complaining about issues with their headlights, citing that both low-beams have up and quit at the same time. The issue reportedly stems from an overheating connection which fries the headlight switch and wiring connection.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has begun an initial investigation into the matter. Potentially affected Hondas could number as high as 300,000, but so far NHTSA has received just 12 complaints.
