Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force CLS 63 AMG – Click above for high-res image gallery

We've seen all manner of vehicles being equipped and commissioned for police duty around the world. But this is no ordinary police car. This 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG is the ride of choice for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force.

The fashion enforcers are out in full force this week in New York as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Fortunately for "the rest of us" Benz's fashion cops aren't looking for people wearing outfits that clash; instead, they're identifying trendsetters on the street and offering them free rides to their next destinations in this specially-prepared CLS 63 AMG, which may well be the best car for the job. See for yourselves in the high-resolution image gallery below and the press release after the jump.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force Goes On Patrol

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force is taking to the streets of New York City in the new 2012 CLS 63 AMG to spot "stylesetters" with fresh, creative design looks and arresting appeal. Stylist Brad Goreski and a team of Fashion Enforcers are on duty for five days during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week carrying out its mission.

Making its way from Lincoln Center, home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, to the chicest neighborhoods in downtown Manhattan, the CLS 63 AMG Fashion Force car outfitted in its official badging is pulling over at the sight of a stylesetter and rewarding them with a ride to their next destination. Each stylesetter chosen by the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force is going to have their picture taken and several are receiving invitations to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway shows as well as an invitation to the official fashion force culmination event, hosted by Brad Goreski in the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge.

"The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force car is a statement about New York being one of the greatest fashion capitals of the world and the confident approach to individualistic style that people strive to explore throughout this amazing city," said Brad Goreski.

Fashion Enforcers include an impressive list of leading fashion bloggers including: Lauren Sherman of Fashionista.com, Jace Lipstein of Grungygentleman.com, Leandra Medine of manrepeller.com and Kristian Laliberte of Refinery29.

"Mercedes-Benz has a natural affinity with the world of fashion with cars that appeal to those with a strong sense of style," said Lisa Holladay, manager of brand experience for Mercedes-Benz USA. "The 2012 CLS 63 AMG four-door coupe is the perfect vehicle for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force initiative with its fascinating design and significant curb appeal."

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force is on patrol from Thursday, February 10th until Monday, February 14th. Updates on its possible locations can be found on Facebook.com/MBFashionWeek and Twitter.com/MBFashionWeek.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011 will take place in New York, NY at Lincoln Center from February 10-17.

      Kill it with fire!

Whats worse? This hideous "Fashion Force" AMG or Fashion Week itself? You make the call.

2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG is a classy card the shows a slick and advance design. Exhibits distinct features like the engine and transmission and the front suspension.Boost of this automobile is also intensified. The engine simply has power and efficacy everywhere, all the time.

      Isn't brown the new black?
Should have called it "Fashion Police" and they should have used it to arrest Lady Gaga on her way into the Grammys tonight.

That livery does that car absolutely no favours. However,if the car has 'AMG' and '63' on the bootlid (and since I'll never be able to afford one) then please tell me what fashion crime I'd need to commit to get a ride in it... ;)

I'm a trendsetter so let me drive!

They can add as many acronyms as they want after the brand, it's still slow and ugly.

Why would they pick a Mercedes? They all have that horribly ugly huge emblem on the front.

        @Carlos
Before you comment, look up somethings on Wikipedia. It's MERCEDES-BENZ Fashion Week. They're the primary sponsorship.

        @Carlos
No no. You see, that's an emergency dinner plate in case you get stranded one night.

Some things should be against the law. THIS is one of those things.
i dunno about you guys, but if MB were to give me a CLS63 in that livery i would shut up and accept it, very graciously..hell, i would take one in pink.
Seriously. And how gauche is that color scheme and gaudy lettering. The fashion police should be much more fashionable than that.
        @ Pengwin:
Don't think anyone would turn that down but, that wasn't my point.
Funny, they can't use the light bar on the road cause it would be "imitating the police".

      Oh wait...
They can use amber like private security firms do.
Actually, no they can't use the lights on the street. Private security must be registered to use them and must show/prove they are in the legitimate business of "private security" in order to get these permits. Some states even require every driver to get a permit. My point: you can't just have them because they are orange/amber and not red/blue
        • 4 Years Ago
they could use orange... but of course, that would clash.
Step aside rappers; this is now the lowest point of humanity.
Was just looking at at CLS in a parking lot and thinking the typical "damn, that's sexy" but this is about as cool as painting it pink and making it a Barbie car.
