The battery-powered 2011 Think City has been recalled for two safety-related issues, one for improper positioning of the passenger seatbelt involving 16 Citys, the other for poor defroster performance affecting 23 vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) summary of the seatbelt recall reads like this:

The seatbelts may have been incorrectly installed. As a result, a child restraint system used in the passenger seating position may not be positioned or retained properly. The seatbelt may not restrain the child as intended during normal vehicle operation or during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The NHTSA outlines the City's defroster performance issue in this way:

Poor performance in the vehicles' fluid heater assemblies could cause the heater-defroster system of the vehicle to fail to perform properly, resulting in loss of its ability to clear the windshield in cold or humid conditions. This could impair the driver's ability to view the road ahead, increasing the risk of a crash.

Think dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace seatbelts and fix the defroster system in the affected models. City owners are urged to directly contact Think at 855-698-4465 for more info.
