This may be Audi's first year at SEMA, but that doesn't mean other tuning houses haven't worked up some four-ringed hotness just for the Vegas show. Stasis, for example, shows off its Signature Series S4 and S5 which get by with 'just' 410 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque from their supercharged V6s, otherwise normally rated at 333 hp and 344 lb-ft.
Stasis says the 25 percent boost in power comes from nothing more than an ECU tune and its own free-flow exhaust that uses "cross flow pulse scavenging technology." The wheels are pulled from the Stasis well, either 20-inches of lightweight, cast spokes or the same diameter in ultra-lightweight forged spokes. Together with the power and the Yokohama rubber, both cars are said to be capable of achieving 1.0 gs in the corners. Stasis S4 and S5
Summit Point, WV(October 28, 2010) -STaSIS will debut its new 410-hp Signature Series S5 cabriolet at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show on November 2 through 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This sport convertible will be showcased alongside the class-leading STaSIS Signature Series S4, with 410 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque.
Both vehicles feature race-derived brake, suspension, and driveline products that deliver nearly 25 percent more power and an extra 26 lb-ft of torque over the factory models, balancing significant performance gains with comfort and reliability. Equipped with a race-tuned suspension, 390-mm, 2-piece brake rotors, lightweight forged 20" wheels, and an aggressive exhaust, these vehicles have a power presence that remains nimble and responsive.
The 4-door, 4-wheel-drive, 410-hp Signature Series S4 runs with world-class sports sedans such as the BMW M3, Cadillac CTS-V and Lexus IS F in both speed and handling, all at a reasonable price tag. The Signature Series S5 Cabriolet boasts a convertible top and the performance of the STaSIS S4, delivering a truly exhilarating driving experience.

STaSIS Engine and Exhaust Modifications
STaSIS boosts the Audi 3.0-L supercharged engine from 333 hp and 344 lb-ft of torque to 410 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque by tuning the engine software and replacing the factory exhaust with a STaSIS free-flow stainless exhaust.
STaSIS engineered a lightweight, free-flowing, T304 stainless steel exhaust system that works in harmony with the engine tuning software. The exhaust uses the first true cross flow pulse scavenging technology applie to the 3.0 supercharged engine and independently provides an additional 8 hp. The mufflers incorporate reflective and passive technologies to optimize sound and minimize back pressure. Combined with tunable resonators, the sound is noticeably deeper and more aggressive but does not drone within the cabin.
Wheels
Signature Series S4 and S5 Cabriolets are equipped with either 20" lightweight cast wheels or 20" ultra-lightweight forged wheels. Both wheel styles are DOT and JWL certified and help to improve handling, acceleration and stopping.
Wheels are equipped with Yokohama S-Drive high performance tires or Yokohama Advan Sport Extreme Performance tires. Combined with the race-inspired suspension and lighter weight brakes, the Signature Series S4 and S5 are both capable of 1.0 G cornering acceleration
Braking
The STaSIS braking system uses lightweight, 2-piece 370-mm (390-mm optional) rotors and calipers that are direct descendents from the highest levels of motorsport. The rotors have large air gaps, directional aerofoils and a custom iron alloy that help to quickly extract heat generated when stopping. Bolted to an aluminum hat via a floating pin design, these rotors allow for stop after stop without overheating or warping due to heat stress.
The factory two-piece sliding calipers are replaced by 6-piston monobloc aluminum calipers that are 50% lighter. The pistons use high-resilience seals for quick piston activation and retraction, providing the driver with a firm pedal feel that is linear in action across all temperature ranges.
The system is completed with high-performance brake pads and stainless steel lines. Stepping on the brake pedal delivers an aggressive initial bite that will not change as brake temperature increases. This gives the driver the confidence to dive into every turn without worry.
Reducing the weight at each front wheel by nearly 13 pounds enables quicker steering wheel inputs and requires less work for the suspension, which in turn improves handling.
Suspension
The Signature Series S4 and S5 Cabriolet combine lightweight dampers and high rate springs with an uprated anti-roll bar kit. The motorsports-derived dampers utilize STaSIS double-digressive valving to produce racecar control with ride comfort. Our success in balancing the conflicting goals of a more aggressive stance, improved handling and ride comfort is part of every Signature Series car we produce.
