Ford continues to rack up awards with its stellar Fusion Hybrid. First came the big one, the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year title, and now a less well-known honor: the 2010 Consumers' Top Rated hybrid award from Edmunds.com. We liked the Fusion Hybrid too, but decided against dishing out any awards this time around because our prize box was running a little low.

Winners of the 2010 Consumers' Top Rated awards are chosen directly by car owners. According to Edmunds, owners write and submit reviews of their recently purchased vehicles and provide satisfaction ratings. Owners are asked questions in eight important categories, including performance, fun-to-drive, fuel economy, reliability, dependability, interior/exterior design and comfort. Once a year, the results from these surveys are tallied and a winner is declared. The Fusion Hybrid joins previous award winners including the 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid, 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid and long-time winner Toyota Prius. So, congrats to Ford for winning over the hearts of so many Fusion Hybrid owners. Follow the link below to view award winners in all 21 vehicle categories.
