Last summer we noted that the Toyota/Lexus hybrid rebates were decreasing due to the great popularity of the Prius. It's a good guess that a lot of people saw that the rebates were still available on other brands and bought something other than a Prius. Toyota/Lexus buyers can still get a little somethin-somethin, but $3,000 for a 2008 Ford Escape 2WD Hybrid sounds a lot better than $787.50 for a 2008 Toyota Prius.
