Martin Eberhard goes to Washington

Tesla Motors CEO Martin Eberhard went to his first congressional hearing this week to testify at the same Senate hearing that DCX VP Mark Chernoby was at to plead for more diesel tax breaks. As you might expect Martin's focus was a little different. To him diesels are great for trucks but loosening the regulations to redefine more diesels as clean struck him as ridiculous. He also wasn't to thrilled with the format of the hearing. If you've ever watched any congressional hearings on C-Span you'll know they seem to set up specifically to allow politicians to grandstand rather than to actually get information.
