RR of the Day: the ugly bugeye '02 Subaru WRX

We're going forward with our EVO / WRX theme this week for the RR of the Day feature, which means we'll do our best to pick out good examples of these cars in our Flickr pool while they last. If you've got an EVO or WRX you haven't submitted yet, follow the jump to learn how. It's easy!

Today's RR of the Day is Flickr member hsubaru's 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX, what he refers to as "the ugly bugeye one." When it comes to the WRX, the uglier the better we always say. Hsubaru has added just a smidge of visual flair by adding Prodrive P7 wheels wearing slightly used STi rubber. He's also lifted the hoodscoop from the manlier STi, as well. Other STi parts include the rear sway bar, struts and springs, which means this normal looking WRX is more than meets the eye. Follow the jump for a short list of other performance mods hsubaru has added, most of which allow the WRX to gulp down more air and expel it out the rear. Also, click here for a full gallery of shots taken by hsubaru himself, which is impressive with a camera in his hands.

Remember, if you've got a Subaru WRX or Mitsubishi EVO Lancer, submit it!
Simply upload photos of your ride into our Flickr group. We select one vehicle to highlight each week day, and on the weekend let you vote for the RR of the Week. Detailed instructions can be found after the jump.

Performance mods:
  • Helix Uppipe
  • Scoobysport Downpipe

How to submit to RR of the Day:
Create a
Flickr account if you don't already have one. Search for and join the group called 'Autoblog RR of the Day'. Upload up to three photos of your ride to your own account at a size no larger than 450 pixels wide if possible and include as much information about it and yourself as possible. Even if your ride is sweet, it will not be chosen if there's not a lot of info accompanying it. Click on each photo and just above the picture it will say "Send to group". Click that and select the Autoblog group. You're done, that's it!
