VIDEO: Evolution Performance's 11-sec GT500

The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Evolution Performance of Aston, PA has put together a killer '07 Shelby GT500. Not content to simply make claims as to their Stang's formidable badassedness, the guys at Evolution brought it to the track, where it promptly ran the quarter in 11.81 sec at 120.9 mph.

The modifications made to the car were as follows:
  • JLT Cold Air Intake System
  • Custom Off-Road X-Pipe
  • Custom Exhaust System
  • 4.10 Gears
  • Evolution Performance Custom Tune using SCT Advantage III Software
  • Output: 500 rwhp, 503 lb-ft of torque
The car has since had 2.6" pulleys installed and currently makes 563 horsepower and 564 lb ft of torque. Both of those numbers are at the wheel, mind you. Evolution says that this is the first 11-second '07 GT500, but stay tuned -- the word from Evolution is that video of a 10-second run at Englishtown last weekend (post-pulley swap) should be on the web in the coming days. We'll be sure to follow-up when that happens.

For now enjoy the video we do have, and be sure to check out Evolution Performance's site, where they've got a great photo gallery, the video you see above, and video of a dyno session showing that the car made a tasty 500 rwhp before the pully swap we mentioned above. Hot stuff, indeed.
