Russian automaker GAZ interested in Jaguar?

So far potential suitors looking to purchase Jaguar from Ford have been named out of pure speculation. One such suitor whose interest in Jaguar seems to be gaining traction in the international press is Oleg Deripaska, the sixth richest man in Russia and owner of the GAZ motor empire, Russia's largest automaker. The 38-year-old Russian businessman, whose worth is an estimated $14.3 billion, recently hired Martin Leach, the former head of Ford Europe, to help internationalize his GAZ Motors, which has fanned the flame of this rumore.
While it's also been speculated that Ford might bundle Land Rover with the sale of Jaguar, we're now hearing that the Blue Oval may insist on maintaining a minority stake in the brands to save face in the U.K. where both Jaguar and Land Rover have traditionally operated.

Thanks for the tip, Jay!
