Ethanol summit scheduled for Thursday at the Indy 500

/
The ethanol industry is really trying to make a splash at the Indy 500 this year. They've had the Energy Secretary come to the track, they're giving away $12,500 to the fastest drivers (well, only one driver so far), and now they're having an ethanol summit at the racetrack Thursday. The summit will feature ethanol industry leaders, politicians and the Indy Racing League discussing the benefits of renewable energy and its use in the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing," according to the media announcement. Considering the Indy 500 is being run on 10 percent ethanol this year and will be a purely ethanol event nest year, this sort of summit makes sense. Team Rahal Letterman Racing will be heavily represented at the summit, as they're the team most associated with ethanol this year. We plan on having a post summing up the summit Thursday.
