One common complaint about "green" technologies such as electric cars is that production of such alternatives continue to harm the environment. Critics are quick to point out that coal-burning power plants continue to spew toxic wastes to generate electricity to charge an electric car.
Well, AutoblogGreen has posted about one company addressing the displaced-emissions issue: Biomass Investment Group, Inc (BIG) plans to build a power plant in Florida that uses E-grass as its fuel source. The CO2 exhaust released by the plant will be absorbed by the E-grass growing on site. According to BIG, this "closed loop" will save 20 billion tons of CO2 over the next quarter century.
