On the 26th episode of the Autoblog Podcast Chris Paukert and I spend some time reviewing the 2006 Saab 9-5 that currently resides in the Autoblog Garage. We also reminisce on the best and worst taglines mentioned in the many comments of our post on the topic. We also touch on a bright spot in the automotive industry that doesn’t seem to be getting the attention it deserves, which is the recent spike in new jobs created by Toyota moving into Subaru’s Lafayette, IN manufacturing plant, the announcement of Kia’s first manufacturing facility on U.S. soil and Chrysler’s announcement that it’s putting 1,000 people back to work at its Belvidere plant.
