Ford pushing for 900,000 F-150 sales in 2005

/
We’ve reported earlier in the year about Ford’s attempt to duplicate the 900,000 F-150 sales it earned in 2004. It’s been a long and winding road for Ford since then, and the F-150 has arrived in December with at least 65,400 more units to move before it reaches the magic number. Autoweek reports that the number needed is more than all the F-150’s sold in November.
Ford has all of its dealers focused on this goal and is doing what it can to sweeten the purchase of an F-150 in December including dealer bonuses of up to $1,000 per truck sold this month. There’s also currently $2,500 cash rebates on many F-150 models.

Even if it doesn’t hit 900,000 sales this year, the F-150 looks like a shoe-in for best selling vehicle in the country anyway since its only competition, the Silverado, has fallen off and was 174,761 behind at the end of November.
