Peugeot pulls the covers off of 407

Please, put them back on. The Peugeot 407 is nearly a carbon copy, for better or worse, of the Prologue concept that was unveiled at last year's Geneva Motor Show. Here's a pop quiz: what's the first car that comes to mind when you see Peugeot's 407? If you answered a Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Stratus then consider yourself quite capable of grasping the obvious. Set to go on sale in the UK in January of 2006, this new coupe that replaces the Pininfarina-styled 406 was instead penned by an in-house team that should have apparently gotten out of the house more often. Seriously though, we joke because we often hold European design to a higher standard than our own domestic designers, and it's just funny to see a Euro coupe with the nose of a Chrysler Sebring and the rear of a Buick Lacrosse.
