We here in the states often sit back in our bucket seats and lust after some truly great cars being offered on the other side of the pond. Every once in a while it takes a car like the Peugeot 1007 to put things in perspective. The three-door mini-hatch is powered by a 1.4L four-cylinder making 75 bhp/88 lb-ft of torque, has seven airbags, two sunroofs and sliding doors like a minivan. The interior panels can also be replaced with different colored interior kits that Peugeot plans to offer.
The 1007 certainly satisfies the needs of many European customers who live in urban settings and need a maneuverable car with good gas mileage. Over here in the States, however, where wide open spaces are more common than cramped city streets and the price of petrol isn?t as high as in Europe, the Peugeot 1007 reminds us that the grass isn?t always greener on the other side.
