MazdaSpeed3 should be right around the corner

Mazda is ready to show the 3 MPS (Mazda Performance Series) at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show using the same 2.3-liter engine found in the MazdaSpeed6. 256 horse in the little Mazda3? Hell yeah. The 6 MPS was shown overseas and quickly was renamed the MazdaSpeed6 and will reach U.S. shores in the fall. Hopefully the 3 won't stray from that formula. Also, the RX-7 is rumored to be coming back to sit somewhere between the MX-5 and RX-8, but that wouldn't be for a few more years. Picture is of a standard Mazda3.
