Honda's R&D advancements

We always chuckle a bit when we see a Honda robot on a TV commercial. But Honda says the R&D that goes into their robots is applied to their cars too. So is the engineering they put into their aircraft business. One helps with new technology like voice recognition and the other aids with reducing the weight of their vehicles. Honda says this is a critical time to bring their R&D department in tune with production. Otherwise they won't be able to produce cutting edge products like the trunked out Ridgeline as quickly as they are now.
