Auto Spies casts the first stone

Autospies.com blends scoops and inside info with barely disguised ads for upmarket car dealers. So we had to laugh when we read 001's rant "Why you can't trust the mainstream auto writer's anymore" (Auto writer's what?) After reading 001's contention that he started autospies because 99% of all auto publications are "on the take", we learned the true source of his ire: writer Dan Lienert's Forbes' comparo of the Mercedes Benz G-Class and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Seems Mr. Lienert didn't know about the G-Class makeover— because he didn't read autospies. Perhaps that should be a hanging offense.
